With the opening of school begins our Annual Appeal . Last year the PS 89 PTA spent over $1,400 per child. We directly spent over $250,000 including: certain capital improvements, school supplies, book purchases for classrooms, and library expenses. Our donation allowed for the school's general funding from the city to be used for enrichment teacher salaries (science, music, gym, librarian and dance) and school aides, to the extent that the costs were not met by the school's allowance.
Please consider donating to the Annual Appeal to ensure that we can continue to provide the activities, events, and services from the PTA. Give only what you are comfortable giving – no amount is too small.
To make your Annual Appeal donation, send a check made out to the PS 89 PTA in your child’s red folder.
The PS 89 PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
