 Bricks for Kids
Bricks 4 Kidz NYC Little Engineers 
S.T.E.M. Enrichment Morning Workshops
Fridays, 8:00-8:30am

We invite your child to join Bricks 4 Kidz NYC Little Engineers for the STEM Enrichment Morning Workshop Series.  Children will learn build educational STEM-based models and machines with Lego® bricks.  Your child will have fun while learning about the science, technology engineering and math concepts.

 

Bricks 4 Kidz® programs are built around proprietary model plans designed by engineers and architects with exciting themes such as space, construction and amusement parks that provide building blocks for educational play.  Model building provides kids with opportunities for problem solving and helps them develop an appreciation for how things work – learning while having fun!

Bricks 4 Kidz programs are designed to:

  • Introduce engineering and architecture principles

  • Explore math and science concepts

  • Build self-confidence and problem-solving skills

  • Enhance self-esteem through solving problems and completing projects

  • Activate children’s lively imaginations

 Chess

Wednesdays, starting on October 19th - January 11th, 8:00 - 8:35 am.

We invite your child to join Morning Chess Club at PS 89!  The program is designed to increase children's intellectual curiosity and logical aptitude. Also, chess practice enhances focus and understanding in children. 

 

This Fall/Winter session we welcome Michah Saperstein, the new Club coach. He and his assistant will create an engaging and captivating environment for the children. Through Michah's almost 10 years of coaching experience, he has developed a program for young minds in accordance with their chess game level. 

 

The program will run on Wednesdays, starting on October 19th, 8:00 - 8:35 am. There are will be 12 sessions that will end on January 11th. The number of participants is limited to 30 children. It is $60 for the session.  A second session will begin in January.
