Welcome to PS 89 ~ Liberty School
The School Surveys have arrived!
This is an opportunity for you to provide feedback to the school.
Each family will receive a survey in their child's backpack.
The Department of Education encourages you to fill out the survey online by going to
that is printed on the first and last page of the paper survey.
SURVEYS are due no later than April 23rd, however, please do it right away so that you
don't forget!
No Extended Day morning program
on March 16, 17 and 18.
During the week of March 15, school will begin at 8:50 a.m.
LAST WEEK TO FILL OUT KINDERGARTEN INTAKE FORM
If you are interested in your child attending PS 89 for kindergarten in the 2010-2011 school year,
pick up our Kindergarten Intake application form in room 208.
Eligibility:
- children born in 2005
- currently living in the new PS 89 zone - BPC north of Albany St
Fill out and return the application with appropriate documentation: proof of birth and proof of address.
Deadline: no later than MARCH 12th!!
GREEN: Wearable Collections has been rescheduled for WEDNESDAY MARCH 10. 9:30 DEADLINE to drop off by the Art Room - ground floor near the Chambers St doors.
Scholastic Book Fair: the book fair will be back on the 2nd floor from Monday March 14 through Thursday March 17. It will coincide with Parent/Teacher conferences. Please remember to drop by to browse the books! A schedule of when classes will visit will be updated shortly.

Operation Piggy Bank: from March 15 through March 26, please have students bring in loose change to be added to their classroom piggy bank. We will donate the funds to a charity {TBA}.
